Italian Women's Basketball Super Cup A1 - Martinel Trophy

This tournament annually brings together the team that has triumphed in the championship with the one that has secured the Italian Cup. Its inaugural edition was an exciting reality in 1996, right after the equivalent men's tournament. Since then, this competition has taken place every year, usually shortly before the start of the Serie A1 championship.

This year's event was held at the "Maurizio Crisafulli" Sports Hall in Pordenone on Friday, September 22nd, and Saturday, September 23rd. Four determined teams vying for the first trophy of the season: Famila Wuber Schio, Virtus Segafredo Bologna, Umana Reyer Venezia, and Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, who, as promised, delivered emotions and top-level competition.

It was the twenty-eighth edition of this prestigious trophy, and we couldn't help but be enthusiastic promoters of seeing who would raise the trophy!
